Cake Show

I finally had my cake show!

The opening was on Thursday October 2nd at the U245 Gallery at my school The College for Creative Studies.

Thanks to everyone who came out... and thanks to Matty C. for taking these for me.

Artist Statement
The memory can be an upsetting landscape full of experiences that never seem to go away and some that never want to stay. Through collage I can finally choose what to relive and consume over again in my mind. When placing my collages on cakes I am more interested in how the viewer interacts with my art both emotionally and physically. I invite the viewer to both celebrate with me and put away the past at their choosing by taking a slice.

Hunting In A Herd

My dream came true when I turned 22.

I used to be so tired, but I could never fall asleep.

Abulita & Abigail; the first and last, the A & Z in my memory.
